Wow! I was not expecting such an involved plot, much less one that I found expertly presented in this peculiar movie. Just like the X-men, I enjoy movies about people with special powers and this movie delivered. There is a time element in this movie, but it is so played down, that it did not affect my enjoyment of the movie.

I found Jake (Asa Butterfield) quite attractive in a Topher Grace, Jesse Eisenberg, Shia la Beouf kind of way. Other actors of note include Samuel L. Jackson, Judi Dench, Rupert Everett and Allison Janney.

Susan Cooper (Melissa McCarthy) is an unassuming, deskbound CIA analyst, and the unsung hero behind the Agency’s most dangerous missions. But when her partner (Jude Law) falls off the grid and another top agent (Jason Statham) is compromised, she volunteers to go deep undercover to infiltrate the world of a deadly arms dealer, and prevent a global disaster.

The story was cohesive and up to par for my entertainment preferences. There was a lot of humor and the movie was also very action-packed, which kind of surprised me.

I really like Melissa McCarthy, finding her very humorous, in the style of Lucille Ball. Surprisingly, I thought Jason Statham was just as funny as Melissa. I thought Jude Law was very attractive. I recognized Allison Janney from Mom, which I catch on television once in a while. Finally, I liked Rose Byrne’s character and the interaction between her and Melissa.

OMG! I almost forgot the most interesting thing about the movie…there was penis – albeit, fake in my opinion – in the movie! I have been celibate since August 2007, so I am very happy when I have an opportunity to see some penis.
