In this provocative psychological science fiction thriller, an extremely wealthy man (Academy Award® Winner Ben Kingsley) dying from cancer undergoes a radical medical procedure that transfers his consciousness into the body of a healthy young man (Ryan Reynolds). But all is not as it seems when he starts to uncover the mystery of the body’s origin and the organization that will kill to protect its cause.”
I knew I had rented this before! I must have fallen asleep during the first viewing…forcing myself to keep from dozing and repeating the process, I ended up enjoying this movie from beginning to end. Perhaps it was the lack of Ryan’s skin on screen…
I don’t think the press this movie got was sufficient enough of a description of the plot. It just didn’t seem like it would hold so much weight. This could be attributable to the acting: Ben Kingsley & Ryan Reynolds, who’s talent breached the boundaries of imagination enough for an avid movie-viewer the opportunity to become involved with the story.
To be honest, the details of the story have already begun to fade from my memory, but I distinctly remember being impressed with the level of story-telling going on here.
